Here is more information about arranging for us to do a sales and use
tax seminar for you. If you can't find the answer here, or
would like to discuss your event further, please contact
us.
Our seminar fee is $1,900 per day (or part of
day). Each day would include up to six contact
hours of formal presentations, plus discussions during breaks, lunch and
before and after events. We also encourage our customers to call
us with questions at no extra charge.
Our fee for a private
on-site sales and use tax seminar includes customization for the laws of one state
with some minor addition and deletion of other content. If you
need coverage of additional states or additional topics, this may require an additional
charge, depending on your requirements, the number of states involved,
etc. Please contact

This will be a training session to
familiarize and educate your staff about sales and use taxes. It
cannot be a consulting engagement. We will suggest that you
contact a local sales and use tax specialist. See our disclaimer.
We will probably want to arrange for extended
phone interviews with yourself and other members of your organization to
adapt to your specific needs, customs, policies and procedures, systems,
and other issues. This is included in the seminar fee.
Fee discounts may be available
for:

An event within 300 driving miles of
Batavia, Illinois

An event that can be booked as
part of another trip

Payment of the entire fee at
booking
There is no limitation on the number
of people in the sessions. And if you'd like to invite other
organizations to the event, that's OK.
If you wish to video the program,
there's no additional charge. However the video can only be used
within your organization and local facility. This is negotiable - please contact
us.
Payment schedule:

A deposit of 25% of the fee is
due at time of booking.

A deposit of 25% of the fee is
due 2 days before the seminar.

The remainder of the fee is due
the day of the training.
Please advise us at the time of
booking of any specific paperwork or forms your accounting department
will require to clear payment for this event.
Your Additional Costs
Travel costs
-
All ground and air transportation
from either Chicago O'Hare or Midway to your event
-
If travel by car, ground
transportation from Batavia, Illinois - mileage at current IRS rate.

Air travel will be via coach
class on the most direct and convenient flight available (preferably
American or Southwest). Travel by car may be preferred if the
drive would be eight hours or less.

Rental car will be a full sized
model, usually from Avis.

Lodging at a Hampton Inn,
Holiday Inn Express, Courtyard, or similar hotel for the night
before your event. If your event goes late, a
second night may be necessary depending on available air travel
(red-eyes from the West are not preferred). If your event is
within 3 hours of Batavia, Illinois, no lodging may be necessary
depending on when you'd like to start your seminar.

If this is for a hotel-based
event, then lodging at the primary hotel for your event for at least
one evening prior to the training

You are not responsible
for our meals, tips, and travel to and airport parking in Chicago.

Speaker will arrange travel in
consultation with you.
Other costs

Duplication of handouts (we'll
provide masters, generally as Acrobat files, unless you request
otherwise)

All audio visual needs including
a digital projector, and if the situation requires a sound system: a
microphone (lavaliere wireless is preferred). A sound system
probably won't be required unless the number of participants is
greater than 40. Please contact
